Visa advice

Before we left for our trip we had a panic over our Vietnamese Visa's.  We didnt have them sorted and with only a couple of days before we left our only option seemed to be to make our way to London to visit the Vietnamese Embassy which in turn could take several days to process or be very costly to push for an express service.

On calling our tour company, Intrepid, the best advice they ave was to just take the day off work and go to the embassy or just miss out Vietnam and get a bus back! This wasnt helpful.

Yet on arrival, our Cambodian tour leader happily let us know he could sort out our Visa on the way! and its cheaper!

During our travels we have seen so many travel agents offering Visa runs allover Thailand and Cambodia, So i would advise anyone else travellin who hasnt had time to sort their Visas; dont panic! its cheap and easy to sort it out here! (Though if you dont want to risk your passport being left in the hands of someone else, then do sort beforehand.)

This little article gave step by step advice on getting a Vietnamese Visa in Bangkok. Though check any national holidays beforehand as when we arrived it was closed because of the Vietnamese New Year!
